Joji Pantoja grew up in a business family. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Santo Tomas, the oldest Catholic university in Asia. She took masters-level courses in International Studies at the University of the Philippines.

She and her family moved to Canada in 1986. Since then, she focused on, and developed, a career in investments. She completed her Investment Funds Course from the Investment Funds Institute of Canada in 1990. She is currently licensed in the Province of British Columbia with Investia Financial Services, Ltd.

She has been married for 25 years and have raised up three adult children with her husband.
